I will be adding a new feature to the Make Orwell Fiction Again blog, beginning Friday, March 8, about my conversion from Judaism to Catholicism. Called A Daughter of the Hebrews Turns to Jesus, it will relate my journey of faith. I remember once, at age maybe 5 or 6, asking my father Seymour who God was. He replied, “God is your conscience. We all have a bit of God in us, but none of us is a God.” I still think it’s a great answer, but now I am making that leap of faith that accepts Jesus as a God, part of the Holy Trinity. No one is more surprised than I.
You are amazing! All the best to you as you expand your love of God! I am not a particularly religious person--specifically, not a fan of organized religion --but most definitely a strong believer in God. I love your Father's description of God as our conscience--he was obviously a wise man (and begat a wise daughter). Love you!
I LOVE reading your writing! Even that informative piece!! And I am incredibly happy for you and your life’s journey! Here is to you and all of our daily adventure.
