He painted himself as the man who would restore our civility, and unify our country.
Instead, Joe Biden has shown himself to be an angry old man, without any feeling for anyone but his own corrupt family, which made millions off his government service while partnering with business interests in China, Ukraine and Russia.
He abandoned Afghanistan in a hurry, leaving behind thousands of Americans as well as Afghans who had been loyal to the US during 20 years of war and even service dogs. His moral responsibility for 13 US servicemen killed as sitting ducks for his decision to abandon Bagram Air Force Base is enormous. And then there’s that $80 billion worth of U.S. military equipment he left, now in the hands of the terrorist Taliban.
He destroyed America’s energy independence, one of the singular achievements of his predecessor, in pursuit of a New Green Agenda riddled with hypocrisy. He spent $1 trillion on a infrastructure bill that was supposed to restore us to pre-COVID health and instead lined the pockets of his union and woke friends with funding for racist and sexual education policies that would have been cause for arrest a decade earlier.
Printing money as if it were his produced a near 40-year level of inflation that is crippling the working class — especially those truckers who have to pay for diesel fuel to make their routes — and producing enormous strains on the supply chain. Shelves empty of food, gas prices through the roof and a shocking baby formula shortage — all lay at his feet. His press secretary, on her way out the White House door, dismissed the formula shortage, blaming parents for hoarding nourishment for their babies.
This is true and everyone knows it: if Trump had been president when the baby formula production slowdown started, he would have convened a high-level meeting of manufacturers at the White House, fired off a batch of executive orders and engaged the military to distribute it into every corner of the country, red or blue. Maybe his tweets were mean but his leadership was exemplary. And Biden is meaner.
The media always said Donald J. Trump was a bully, a tyrant, a dictator. But it was Biden who imposed unlawful vaccine mandates, weaponizing the OSHA bureaucracy to force people from their jobs because they feared a vaccine some believed was more dangerous than the virus. And in the most criminal act of all — impeachable on its face — he withheld monoclonal treatments that are the gold standard in therapeutics from Americans who live in red states. So if you get COVID and you happen to live in Florida or Texas, you just have to sweat it out. But if you live in California you can walk into any state health facility and get it. What kind of leader punishes innocent Americans for the political affiliation of their governor?
He takes responsibility for none of it — blaming the pandemic, Putin’s war in Ukraine, anyone but himself. Biden is the perfect president for this Age of Victimhood. Asked about the specter of babies suffering malnutrition, he said that he’s no mind reader, so how was he to know there would be a shortage? In fact he should have known in February, when the FDA stopped Abbott Labs from making more formula while the deaths of two babies were investigated. Fair enough. But Abbott claims the formula has now been cleared — “genetic sequencing on the two available samples from ill infants did not match strains of Cronobacter in our plant” — while a sluggish FDA seems in no rush to clear production at the Sturgis, MI plant.
He has no empathy for the average citizen — preferring to court the migrants crossing our southern border illegally. His Department of Homeland Security is even siphoning healthcare funds away from veterans to pay for services at the border. Abandoning his oath to “protect & defend” the nation, he floods the border as drug cartels run traffic in Fentanyl — now the #1 cause of death among young Americans.
Perhaps he thinks he can stay in power with the votes of grateful migrants. But I wonder. Hispanic voters are deserting the Democratic Party in shocking numbers, an exodus of Americans with a social memory of the harm done by socialist dictators.
Biden shows every sign of becoming one of the most infamous of them. Some think he is embracing a Far Left agenda because he was always jealous of the progressive halo that surrounds Barack Obama. Others speculate that he hopes to ruin every industry in the country, so government can take them over. Think FDR on steroids. Biden wants history to remember him, kindly, as the great champion of radical policy.
It may instead record his excesses. In a nefarious abuse of power, he has unleashed the FBI not on protestors violating federal law by trying to intimidate Supreme Court justices but on parents who are standing up for their children. Moms and dads have protested school closures, masks on children and teaching transgender identity. For this they are vilified and put on a terror watchlist. Meanwhile criminals run rampant on the streets of our major cities, neither arrested, prosecuted nor punished.
And during a pandemic that saw authoritarian governors impose lockdowns, school closures and mask wearing — all of which proved ineffective to stop a deadly virus — Biden’s CDC spent $420 million for access to cell phone location data so it could spy on Americans, harvesting millions of cell phones to track their compliance with COVID-19 lockdown measures. And some of the data collected sought to monitor behavior. One case read: “Research points of interest for physical activity and chronic disease prevention such as visits to parks, gyms, or weight management businesses.”
Ronald Reagan once said, “We don’t have inflation because the people are living too well. We have inflation because the government is living too well.”
This is Biden’s America, where you need only Follow the Money — as that famous movie All the President’s Men suggested — to understand who is living well.
Dr. Anthony Fauci and his colleagues at the NIH received $320 million in royalty payments from drug companies whose vaccines, if they worked at all, expired after 8 months and whose side affects have left some Americans crippled for life. Check out realnotrare.com for the testimonials of thousands of American who have suffered. The government’s own Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) estimates more than a million people have detailed their injuries — and the CDC has finally acknowledged the risk of myocarditis in young, strong people, including athletes.
None of this even registers with Biden. He bristles when he doesn’t get his way. He all but froths at the mouth when challenged. “Come on man!”
I’ve been covering politics since Jimmy Carter was in the White House. I have never seen one so as utterly unfeeling as this man. And I say again to Dr. Jill Biden, as I did many months ago, what did you know and when did you know it? How dare you offer this man as fit for the presidency when you knew he was impaired?
Now we are all impaired, frightened for our futures, “led” by a man who has no idea we exist.
May God save our nation.
Another excellent article. Spot-on. I’m amazed whenever I see Biden’s fans (yes, he still has a small handful, assuming they aren’t all plants/bots) say things like “it’s so refreshing to have an adult in charge again.” If this is what adult leadership looks like, put the giant baby back in charge.
Also, thanks for the link!
You summed that up perfectly. Thank you.
