The other day, quietly, the FDA removed from its Social Media history all of its posts bashing Ivermectin as an effective drug against COVID. This victory for sanity came after a lawsuit from three doctors who said they had trouble finding pharmacies willing to fill their RX of Ivermectin for patients. Among the SM posts deleted was one cleverly suggesting the medicine was only fit for farm animals.
Recently, both Deb and I tested positive for COVID. It was like a very bad cold or a weak flu and lasted about five days. Early on we both visited a doc-in-the-box and while Deb was prescribed Paxlovid--they refused to prescribe Paxlovid for me due to a contra-indication with a drug I take. I asked for Ivermectin, but they refused to prescribe Ivermectin as an "off label" treatment for COVID. Our doctor in CA did prescribe Ivermectin for COVID and it seemed to help alleviate the symptoms. Thankfully, in about a week I was feeling better without any medication. Deb recovered in less time without taking the prescribed Paxlovid. We did use OTC Dayquil and Nitequil to fight the symptoms. About two weeks late rand I developed a sinus infection which I treated with Amox-Clav antibiotics for 10days which cleared up the sinus infection. On to the next adventure.
