Finally, Justice Comes for Comey

James Comey, former FBI Chief who tried to frame President Trump for obstruction of justice in 2017, the same Machiavellian figure who let Hillary Clinton off the hook in 2016 for her bleached emails, this week said the quiet part out loud.

In an epic misreading of both public opinion and the law, Comey posted a photo on Instagram, as he described it a “cool shell formation on my beach walk,” that spelled out 86-47, the radical Dem dog whistle for “assassinate President Trump.” After DJT Jr. flagged the post as a call for violence against his father, Comey took it down.

Last month, I urged the Justice Department to investigate and prosecute these vile calls from radical Democrats to assassinate the president of the United States.

I wonder if anyone from the FBI or Secret Service has investigated the woman pictured above, spewing death threats. I wonder if they knocked on her door, or busted her in the middle of the night, as they did the J6ers. Comey claims he, a former mob boss prosecutor, had no idea that in law enforcement circles, “86” means “kill it.”

No one is buying that. He spent his life prosecuting mobsters. He may be trying to build a media narrative that Trump is vindictive. Like an addict, he may be trying to get on TV, to stay relevant. Whatever his motives, Comey’s arrogance, his need for media attention, is finally being met with the wrath of righteous prosecution.

Asked by FNC’s Jesse Watters if she thought Comey should be in jail, she said yes.

“I’m very concerned for the president’s life. We’ve had two assassination attempts so far,” she said. Citing a Rutgers poll where 55% of respondents said murdering President Trump would be “somewhat justified,” she added, “There has to be accountability. … Any other person with the position of influence that he has — what the propaganda media has built him up to be” — would be prosecuted.

Comparing Trump to Hitler, calling Trump an existential threat to democracy, is part of what Gabbard sees as “an assassination culture taking over the Left.” So demented are these lefties, so distorted by severe Trump Derangement Syndrome, they have lost all moral compass. They smile as they call for Trump’s death, showcasing pure evil.

Comey online call for violence is mobilizing MAGA with a new sense of aggrieved mission. Many are calling for his prosecution. And if he’s not prosecuted, there are also calls for Pam Bondi’s resignation as attorney general. Comey may think this is all very funny, a cool troll of Trump, a neat way for him to become relevant again.

But those who cried at Butler and sweated on Election Night and celebrated on Inauguration Day are in no mood to laugh.

“I want to see James Comey in prison for calling for the assassination of President Trump,” said Valentina Gomez on X. “I’m tired of the useless hearings, investigations, & strongly worded letters. We have the House, the Senate, & the White House. It’s time to put criminals behind bars.”

Tim Young said, “If you would’ve threatened a Democrat with a message in the sand when James Comey was director of the FBI… he’d have had your house raided.”

And Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) said “Jim Comey has built quite the rap sheet. Add “inciting the assassination of a President” to the long list of things he should be investigated for: -Lying to Congress -Leaking classified memos -Illegally surveilling the Trump campaign -Covering for Hillary Clinton -Weaponizing the FBI against political opponents -Undermining a sitting President -Playing politics with justice -Now: ‘86 47’ Time’s up. Investigate this man.”

Stephen Miller: “As the former FBI director, and key leader of the deep state, Comey’s call for assassination — while the president is abroad no less — is a chilling escalation of the war against our democracy by a faction committed to its destruction.”

Robby Starbuck: “James Comey called for "47" to be "86’d" but then had the gall to pretend he didn’t know what 86 meant. You can’t be the Director of the FBI for 3+ years and pretend you didn’t know that a call to "86" someone is a call to kill them. You can’t credibly do that. Lock Comey up NOW!”

Donald Trump Jr.: “Just James Comey causally calling for my dad to be murdered. This is who the Dem-Media worships. Demented!!!!”

For his part, Trump was asked about Comey’s post in an interview with Brett Baier at the conclusion of his triumphant trip to the Middle East.

“He knew exactly what that meant,” Trump said, leaning forward in his chair. “A child knows what that meant, it meant assassination, it says it loud and clear,” Trump said.

“He did it for a reason and he was hit so hard because people like me and they like what’s happeening in our country. And he’s calling for the assassination of the president.” Trump did not want to take a position on what punishment Comey should get, saying he would leave that to the “wonderful people” in his administration.

Calling Comey “a dirty cop,” Trump said if he were clean, then “I could understand if there’s a leniency.” Either way, he said, calling for the assassination of a president, especially one who is doing so much to improve the country, that’s “ a terrible thing.”
