'You Have No Idea What You Have Unleashed' -- Erika Kirk
The World Affirms a Spiritual Awakening, and it May Just Save the West
That is our job now, all of us, to pick up the bloodied baton and keep Charlie Kirk’s cause going. Erika Kirk, widow, mother of fatherless children, spoke eloquently.
“For all eternity, he will stand at his savior’s side, wearing the glorious crown of a martyr,” she said. “To the evildoers, you have no idea what you have unleashed across the entire country and world.” She promised his organization, Turning Point USA, would not falter but only grow larger, its campus tours, broadcasts and fall AmericaFest serving as a beacon for all those, of all ages, who feel the call.
“The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry,” she said. “The movement my husband built WILL NOT DIE.”
All over the world, groups have gathered in prayer vigils to celebrate his epic imprint on a world hungry for moral clarity. In Sydney, London, Berlin and Madrid, crowds sing hymns in candlelight processions. Many in the USA are calling for mass attendance at church Sunday, an affirmation that we are all the children of God.
“If you aren’t a member of a church, I beg you to join one — a Bible believing church,” said Mrs. Erika Kirk. “Our battle is not simply a political one. Above all, it is spiritual. It’s spiritual. The spiritual warfare is palpable.”
The connection between the two, between the political revolution and the spiritual awakening, gives new energy to both.
The political battle is writ large all over the pages of Social Media, in the depraved postings of Democrats who cling, even now, to their talking points, accusing conservatives of being fascists, Nazis, Hitler. They post videos celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination and issue blood-thirsty calls for more of the Right’s righteous to be murdered. They cheer his martyrdom, spitting on the cross of Jesus Christ.
Until Democrat leaders such as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton stand up and acknowledge that the Democrats’ coordinated media attack on conservatives has fueled a culture of violence, until universities stop brainwashing students with fabricated accusations and Godless ideologies, until the transgendered Left stops vilifying, canceling and persecuting Christians who believe in two genders, until the New York Times, which attacked Charlie Kirk in life, stops assassinating him in death, until this nation restores the faith in which it was born nearly 250 years ago and the great canons of western civilization are returned to library shelves, little will change. As Elon Musk said this morning, “Either we fight back, or they kill all of us.”
But this time — unlike on that baseball practice field in Virginia where Republican Steve Scalise almost lost his life, unlike the front yard of his Maryland home where Justice Brett Kavanaugh almost lost his, unlike that field in Butler, PA where President Trump stared death in the face — this time, the conservative movement has muscle. No longer do we have to watch as the propaganda media — MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and all the big blue-city newspapers — filter our news. Thanks to Elon Musk, we have a platform that offers a public square, where our message is heard.
The other day, in Portage, Michigan, a man went to an Office Depot to place an order to print posters for a vigil in Charlie Kirk’s honor. This is the poster.
When he came back to pick them up, staffers told him they could not complete the order, because it contained “propaganda.” MAGA did its thing, spreading the word on X, and soon the staffers were fired, with a public apology from the company. Office Depot looked over its shoulder and saw the ghosts of Bud Light and Cracker Barrel. “We are deeply concerned by incident,” said Office Depot, vowing to institute training among team members everywhere to “ensure standards of respect and integrity.”
Likewise, several Internet sleuths have been gathering and posting examples of leftists celebrating Charlie’s assassination. At Englewood Hospital in New Jersey, Dr. Matthew Jung stopped at a nurses station to announce, “I hate Charlie Kirk. He had it coming. He deserved it.” One brave nurse, Lexi Kuenzle, spoke up. “You’re a doctor. How could you say someone deserved to die?” She was fired by the hospital, abandoned by her union, which suggested she get a new job. She is filing a lawsuit. In the meantime, MAGA spread the word. Dr. Jung’s practice as a bariatric surgeon went from a 4.9 rating to a 1, and he has now closed his website.
Teachers, healthcare workers, active duty military personnel — have all posted about how happy they are that Charlie Kirk — who never spoke ill of anyone, who went into the lion’s den to debate students who disagreed with him with the invitation, “Let’s unpack that,” — this man has been silenced. These people are supposed to care for us, to protect us, to heal us. How can we submit to their treatment when the despise us?
War Secretary Pete Hegseth, a friend of Charlie’s, responded with visible fury, calling it “completely unacceptable,” and vowing a zero tolerance policy for anyone in uniform celebrating “a fellow American’s assassination.” There will be dismissals.
You can tell from their rhetoric they never watched a Charlie Kirk event, where he invited people to debate. As I wrote the other day, he was the gentlest of our soldiers, our Martin Luther King Jr., who used words instead of guns to spur social change. To combat hate, he mustered civility. To bolster argument, he invited dialogue. He was not only a martyr to God’s love. He was also a martyr to the First Amendment.
Amid the hatred spewed by leftists were some glimmers of silver lining. Prominent on X were videos from once-liberal Americans saying no more, never again would they vote Democrat. Their testimonials — many from African Americans — were heart-felt. You can watch them here, here, here and here.
It’s as if the Right has risen, like in that movie Network, where the main character leans his head out the window and urges anyone within sound of his voice to repeat, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!”
On X, TrumpGirlLove posted a tribute to Charlie. “In silencing his physical voice, you have made his message much louder—and a thousand times more abundant.”
I keep thinking about 2 Timothy 4:7, where Paul writes to a disciple, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Charlie Kirk did that in our name. And now we have to finish the race for him.
Or, as Tucker Carlson put it on Megyn Kelly’s show the other day, “It’s not between right and left. It’s between God and Godless.”

Wonderful summation. I agree with the spiritual awakening. My mind went to Luke 12 where Jesus said that he was not bringing peace but division. We are as Christians called to rightly divide God's Word. We are to be divided and distinguished as good from evil. Holy means to be divided from and set apart. I'm generally against people getting fired for their language during this time of grief but those Office Depot ghouls had it coming.
I was not very familiar with Charlie Kirk. I knew who he was and from the little I had heard from him I liked his message. I am a big free speech guy and in my mind Charlie was the embodiment of free speech. Charlie encouraged debate and he was respectful and honest in his answers. So let us honor the man and his message, BUT, are some of our actions against those that speak their mind placing us in danger of becoming THE LEFT? Certainly a business has the right to fire someone that besmirches their brand or reputation....but a doctor, regardless of his personal pinion has taken an oath to heal human kind and that oath should be paramount. in my opinion we need to teach those that spread hate another way of life--just as Charlie would have done. Charlie Kirk, rest in peace happy warrior.
