Worse Than Watergate, Finally

In 1972, there was a burglary at the Democrat Patty HQ in the Watergate building in Washington D.C. Reporters and investigators determined that the five men arrested had been paid to steal DNC intel by Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-elect the President. Within two years, Nixon was forced to resign and the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein took credit for their role in exposing Nixon’s coverup.

For the last 50 years, Bernstein has made a career, as a commentator, of protesting that the latest malfeasance by any Republican was “worse than Watergate.” It was as if he never wearied of saying it aloud. During Robert Mueller’s investigation of whether Donald J. Trump colluded with Russians to win the presidency, Bernstein deemed the entire Trump presidency “worse than Watergate.” I don’t remember what he said when Trump was completely exonerated and Clinton fined by the FEC for under-reporting how much spent spent on a made-up Steele dossier meant to indict Trump.

But now, finally, there is a scandal worse than Watergate, and it indicts not only President Biden but the entire Democrat establishment and their lapdog media stars. Since 2020, when he hid in his basement in Delaware instead of campaigning, Biden has been not 100%. I claim no inside knowledge — I don’t know if Biden is suffering from dementia or Parkinson’s or something else. But his handlers knew.

When he messed up a speech, they said he had a stutter, though this was the first time in Biden’s long 50-year career in politics anyone had mentioned it. When he made false claims — he was raised in a black church, he was arrested with Nelson Mandela in South Africa, his son Beau died in Iraq, he met Golda Meir during the Six-Day War, who asked him to be liaison to Egypt, he was at Ground Zero the day after 9/11, the Grand Canyon is one of the nine wonders of the world, he drove an 18-wheeler — they pretended not to have heard. When he sniffed young girls’ hair, they looked the other way. When he fell on his way up the steps to Air Force One, they shortened the stairs.

By early 2024, special counsel Robert Hur elected not to prosecute Biden for his mishandling of top secret documents he unlawfully took home after his vice presidency. Why? Hur interviewed Biden over two days and concluded that no jury would indict him because he was a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” In his report, Hur cited cases where Biden struggled to recall key dates from his vice presidency and the year his son Beau died. When Hur testified on the Hill, Dems accusing him of bias. “That was a political choice,” said Rep. Adam Schiff. “It was the wrong choice.” Now, AG Merrick Garland refuses to release to Congress the taped Hur-Biden interviews, claiming executive privilege.

So they knew. They all knew. All Dem members of Congress, all Dem senators, all the members of the Cabinet and all the world leaders he met with. The First Lady. The First Son. The First Sister. The inner cabal running the White House. All the talking heads on TV and their cheerleaders in the press. Karine Jean-Pierre. And yes Vice President Kamala Harris. They all knew. Now, like the government flunky in Casablanca who tells Humphrey Bogart that he is “shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here,” they profess horror to find that Biden works from 10 am to 4 pm and is asleep by 8 pm. When Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre who answers the call to the White House in the event of nuclear war after 8 p.m., she closed her notebook and ended the briefing. No words.

When the Wall Street Journal wrote a piece in June quoting insiders saying Biden was too old to run, mouthpiece Dems rallied to his side. “He’s sharp, he’s on top of his game, and he’s ready to go,” said Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). Sharp, top of his game, ready to go — from Pelosi on down, they toed that party line for years.

But since Biden’s disastrous debate with President Trump, where he froze up and his eyes rolled and his wife had to lead him gingerly off the stage, they are retreating. Only three weeks ago actor George Clooney held a fundraiser for Biden in California, where former President Obama had to lead Biden off the stage. Clooney now says it’s time for a change. I wonder how many donors will ask for a refund.

All of this matters for two reasons.

One is that the Dems covered for Biden even as they proclaimed — as their campaign slogan! — that they were the only party that could save democracy. Turns out they actually wanted to save their jobs. They fear that if Biden is at the top of the ticket, lots of down-ticket candidates, especially in purple districts, will lose. Propping up a candidate who is in mental decline does not show concern for the Republic. It shows a disdain for their own voters, assuming they actually will vote for a mentally unfit person with a D after their name. Polls suggest otherwise, fueling the Dem panic.

This was no minor talking point. As Donald Trump Jr. said the other day, it was a massive cover-up. And they should be punished, at the polls.

But the other reason all this matters is this: if Dems lied so uniformly and for so many years about something so important to the country — a president’s health — what else have they lied about? The answers are the stuff of Donald Trump’s agenda.

It is hard to imagine anything more cynical than admitting millions of illegal migrants into our country — some with criminal records or on terrorism watchlists, totals said to approach 20 million — so you can register them to vote. Also a sign of desperation.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid, with Rep. Pramila Jayapal, mocked Fox News coverage of the case of an Ecuadorian migrant accused of having bound, gagged and raped a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park. But migrant crime is real to a growing number of families, and the blood of the victims is on Biden’s hands. Asked about these high-profile cases during the debate last week, Biden said something about women being raped “by their in-laws, by their spouses, brothers and sisters, by, it's just ridiculous. And they can do nothing about it.” Ever loyal to her president, CNN’s Dana Bash cut off his mic.

The evidence that illegal migrants will vote? Everywhere.

• Welfare offices in 49 US states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of citizenship. There is currently no requirement on federal voting forms to provide proof of US citizenship. House Republicans are pushing a Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act to require proof of US citizenship for this year’s election. Speaker Johnson says he will bring it to a vote this month. But Dems have already said they will vote against it, Biden that he will veto it. Tell me again, how are they protecting democracy?

• Foreign residents are already voting in local elections in New York City, Maryland, Vermont, San Francisco and the District of Columbia. In California, those without a driver’s license can us a credit card or gym membership card. In Illinois, state officials are giving free driver’s licenses to illegals.

• One study predicts up to 2.7 million illegals will vote in November. The study, released last week by the research institute Just Facts, notes that the 2022 U.S. Census recorded approximately 19 million adult non-citizens living in the country. “Given their voter registration rates, this means that about two million to five million of them are illegally registered to vote,” the report observes. “These figures are potentially high enough to overturn the will of the American people in major elections, including congressional seats and the presidency.”

There’s lots of other signs the Dems hope to win the election unfairly — the avalanche of indictments against Trump, seemingly without merit, a threat to jail him even as he’s on the campaign trail, a fake news operation headed by Dem “Chief Election Meddler” Marc Elias, an effort to keep third-party candidates off state ballots, fearful that Robert F. Kennedy or Cornell West Jr. could take votes from the Dems.

The only thing standing in their way is We the People. Let’s do this!
