Winning, Winning, Winning
President Trump keeps turning to his team and asking, “How many days do we have left?” As Vice President Vance told Breitbart, “He’s done more in two weeks than frankly Biden did in four years and Obama did in eight years. It’s really a breakneck pace and that really does flow directly from presidential leadership. He is having fun.”
On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly told voters, “We’re gonna win so much, you may get tired of winning!” After four years of having a committee run the presidency, having now experienced what it feels like to have a president in charge, on the job, and with a mandate, Americans wake to winning. They may never go back.
First Elon Musk unleashed an army of tech bros to audit federal government agencies for DOGE. What these young brainiacs discovered at USAID is sending shockwaves through the Catholic Church, the regime media and the globalist left. Trump froze millions in USAID funds, including $34 million for the leftwing Politico even as the newsletter had to skip payday for the staff. Yes, this is the same Politico that leaked the Dobbs decision overturning the Roe v. Wade abortion case, sparking the resulting drumbeat by left-wing activists to assassinate conservative Supreme Court justices.
Politico is not alone. NYT got over $50 million, Reuters, $300 million, Christianity Today $1.8 million. Word is AP, NPR and PBS may soon be caught up in the net of underwriting. I always thought the mainstream media was filled with cheerleaders for the Democrats. But to imagine that they were on the government payroll lifts their bias from politics to corruption, to the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s 1984.
A litany of woke projects funded by USAID were also frozen — including $2 million for “sex-change” procedures in Guatemala, $1.5 million to fund DEI in Serbia, $70,000 for a DEI musical in Ireland, $47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia, $32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru, $2.5 milliion for EV cars in Vietnam, $1 million to help disabled people in Tajikistan become “climate leaders,” $61 million to send condoms to countries around the world, most in Africa, $2.1 billion in “humanitarian” aid to Gaza — after Hamas attacted Israel on October 7, 2023.
Journalist Michael Shellenberger says that USAID, via funding of “independent media” abroad, became “a $40 billion driver of regime change.” He says USAID, along with the CIA, were also behind the 2019 impeachment of Trump — which Shellenberger called “an illegal regime change effort at home.”
As USAID is proving to be less a charitable organization for foreign aid than a slush fund for corruption at the highest levels of the US and other goverments, the Left’s cries of outrage only serve to indict them in its web. As Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer complained the other day, “If DOGE can shut down USAID, next it might be the IRS or intelligence agencies.” More winning?
An outburst of resistance from elected Democrats — when was the last time that Schumer held hands with Maxine Waters? — was mild next to the crazies in the streets. Elon’s team is led by Luke Farritor, the first person in the world to decode a passage on the ancient Vesuvius Scrolls. They are high-functioning minds, on the spectrum. “These are some of the brightest, mostly politically neutral people you could ask for,” said techie Ian Miles Cheong, “untainted by years of cynicism and political corruption. And they’re single-minded in their purpose.”
In fury, leftwing activists have called for them to be doxxed, and killed.
Trump’s policies — his Art of the Deal instincts — are winning so much, and so quickly, that the news media scrambles to look sane. One moment they report, with hysteria in their voices, that stocks are falling on news of tarriffs against Mexico and Canada. A few minutes later, never mind.
Media hysteria also greeted Trump’s talk of restoring the Panama Canal to US control. Then he sent his SecState Marco Rubio to talk to the Panamanian officials, and Panama withdrew from its cooperative agreement with China, and dropped all fees for US vessels. You might have missed this news amid the new media hysteria over Trump’s outside-the-box ideas on how to remake Gaza into liveable, prosperous space.
As the media melts down, voters — or should I say taxpayers — are cheering. Also angry. Elon posted a rant this morning from Isaiah L. Carter, a black American who took to X to renounce the Democratic Party. Watch it here.
“The Democratic Party has lied to us about everything. They were the party of the middle class, the party of peace, the party that wants to help poor people. What the last few weeks have proven to us all is that this is a cadre of criminals and losers and spoiled children of affluent parents who were more concerned about looking good than being good. And that’s why I’m so angry. This party lied to me while stealing my tax dollars. The Democratic Party lied to us when they brought in 20-30 illegal aliens for their own political purposes. And now comes USAID, largest money-laundering operation in American history. Congratulations Dems. You’ve outdone even Bernie Madoff…You used black people as mules to push whatever agenda you wanted to. You used black people to sow division against the American people. You were supposed to be party of free speech, of women’s rights and now you’re gonna die on the hill of USAID? We see the game now.”
Winnng, Winning, Winning.

Always eye opening and timely. I am especially benefited from knowing that young Luke Farritor is on the team. This Nebraska student used AI to extract text from burnt Pompeii scrolls. Johanna knows that journalism is all about context and a great deal of pattern recognition. Wonderful article again!
