When Politicians Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them.
Securing our ballots to require ID and proof of citizenship to vote — a rare bipartisan cause endorsed by 85% of the public — is withering. Or, as Charlie Brown (aka Donald Trump) might say, Lucy keeps moving the football from his foot, stealing his victory.
Hakeem Jeffries, leader of the House Dems, was asked the other day why his party is forcing a partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, which effectively freezes funding for the Coast Guard and the TSA. The result is obvious: five-hour security lines at airports, furious passengers, missed planes and TSA agents openly blaming the Dems for not being paid. But Jeffries said Dems have a larger purpose.
“We're in a DHS shutdown right now because Republicans have refused to agree to keep ICE out of polling sites,” he said. “We want an explicit prohibition that ICE can go nowhere near any polling sites in the USA. We're not going to bend on it.”
Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer has called the SAVE America Act “Jim Crow 2.0,” because it requires proof of citizenship. He called it a “nasty, pernicious” piece of legislation arguing “20 million people would lose their right to vote.” Wonder who those “people” are. Not US citizens, that’s for sure.
Polls show 76% of African Americans support voter ID. But, like California Gov Gavin Newsom cringe-pandering to a black audience that he can’t read any better than they can, Dems routinely insult the intelligence of their African American constituents. Remember Biden, saying in 2020 that “if you don’t vote for me, you ain’t black.”
As the Amish Texter pointed out, “If there is ever going to be Jim Crow 2.0, Chuck U. Schumer and his racist Democrats will be the ones to implement it just like they did with Jim Crow 1.0.” The list? 1. Slavery 2. Lynching 3. The KKK 4. Poll taxes 5. Jim Crow 6. Planned Parenthood 7. Red lining 8. Segregation. And don’t forget, it was Abraham Lincoln, our first Republican president, who ended slavery, not Dems.
If you listen closely, Dems will tell you their real motives. They know they cannot win if we clean up all the dead folks on our voter rolls, limit mail-in ballots and keep illegals from voting. That’s why the DOJ is asking states for their unredacted voter rolls, and why so many blue states are defying the federal request in the courts.
Dems love open borders, mass migration, and all the crimes that come with them. As you may recall from Trump’s epic State of the Union address, they do not believe their first obligation is to support Americans. Instead their allegiance is to the illegals.
Republicans are little better. Senate Majority Leader John Thune called January 6 “violent, unlawful, and fundamentally un-American,” and blamed Trump for “spinning up” the crowd with “fraudulent” claims of voter fraud.
Thune is the single greatest thorn in Trump 2’s side — he refuses to allow any recess appointments or bring up bills important to the MAGA base. He will not end the Senate’s “blue slip tradition,” where a single state’s senators can thwart the president’s picks. As for the SAVE Act, he makes lip service about bringing it to the Senate floor, but when constituents call his office, staffers have been instructed to say he opposes the bill because voter fraud is so rare. Anyone still in doubt about voter fraud might check recent testimony from officials in Arizona, who acknowledged that 10,000 illegal aliens, using the exact same Social Security number, voted in the 2020 election.
By the time I called this morning, outraged by Thune’s statement that the only people calling his office were part of a “paid influencer ecosystem,” staffers had been replaced by a voice mail. He’s at (202) 224-2321. Add your voice. Also, some in MAGA passionate about the need to pass the SAVE Act are sending invoices to his office. No one has paid them for their opinions. They are patriots who want to save the republic.
Aggrieved by an election stolen in 2020, Trump understands the SAVE Act is about more than who wins. It’s about national sovereignty. He is putting pressure where he can, pledging to sign no legislation until the SAVE Act reaches his desk. This is an empty promise, because this do-nothing Congress passes few bills. Nine months ago the House passed the No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act, which would end the WEEKLY payment Congress makes to the Taliban. The Senate never considered it.
Trump is also holding out on endorsing anyone in the US Senate race in Texas, where RINO John Cornyn is being challenged by former AG Ken Paxton. The Texas senator called J6ers “white supremacists, domestic terrorists, insurrectionists and anarchists.” He asked then-FBI Director Christopher Wray if a new law was needed to charge the J6ers with “domestic terrorism.” He voted for amnesty 11 times and stalled nominations of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and Russ Vought to OMB.
And as Donald Trump was fighting prosecutors in court, Cornyn demanded he drop out of the 2024 race “for the good of the Party.” Well who’s party is it now, senator?
In Washington, those resisting change — beneficiaries of the status quo, lobbyists and other swamp creatures — often win. Only in a time of Trump, with a leader with the guts to risk everything, do we the people have a chance.
Did I mention Thune is at (202) 224-2321?

Thune opposes the SAVE Act "because voter fraud is so rare." Using that logic, the 4 in 100,000 murder rate would justify repealing laws against it.
I hope Trump vetoes everything in sight until they get off their lazy asses for once.
Thune and 🌽 yn are pig shit wallowers. Thune is a POTUS WANNABE. He won't make it. He's a cardboard cut out of Mitt Romney with Paul Ryan applying the make up. 🌽 yn cut his political teeth in the RINO Austin Texas establishment. He remains a Charter Member. Both Thune and 🌽 yn are RINO UniParty aficionados trained to be Miitch McConnell lap dogs. They know how to bark but are not yet house broken . Paxton and Trump have the T&C duet nuts in a vice. Paxton has offered to drop out of run off against 🌽 yn if Thune bellies up to the bar on the filibuster and the SAVE ACT. 🌽 yn gets another term and Trump wins. Thune does not want a win for Trump. So he will drag his feet beyond March 17 which is the Texas deadline for Paxton to drop out of the run off in May. 🌽 yn and Paxton run off in May. Trump endorses Paxton because Thune blew it. 🌽 yn retires in disgrace.
I am a Texan not by birth but by relocation in 1975. 🌽 yn is dirty. I would not cross the street to piss on his boots. Waste of perfectly good urine. And you ask what about Paxton if Thune succumbs to Trump's demands? Replacement for Bondi as AG.
