Trump's Masterclass & John Thune's Betrayal
Count me pissed.
President Trump has done everything he can to rescue the Republican Party.
He works 18-hour days, takes flak for all of us by insisting on a nation where men are men and women are women, where racist hiring practices are outlawed and transgender ideology is banned from the classroom, and where, despite what Democrats believe, US citizens take priority over illegal aliens. America First.
At the moment he is putting on a masterclass in political leadership — the only president in the last 40 years with the vision, and the courage, to attempt to wipe out the destructive power that is the Islamic Republic of Iran, giving hope to free-loving people in Brazil and Cuba who are out in the streets begging Trump to liberate them.
In response, Senate Republicans stiff him, ignore his pleas and go about business as usual. Last week, as TSA workers and Coast Guard rescuers suffered from withheld paychecks under the Dems’ “partial shutdown,” senators paraded their dogs through the halls of Congress in costumes, calling the event “Doggi Gras” for Mardi Gras.
With our elections at risk —and our country’s very fabric in peril — the SAVE Act makes its appearance on the Senate floor. Its objective: to require valid ID and proof of citizenship from voters, to assure no illegals are voting or showing up in the census.
If you’ve ever had doubts about the 2020 election, take a look at this video out of Fulton County, Georgia. With no witnesses or observers, at 8:32 a.m., poll workers can be seen pulling suitcases full of ballots from under desks.
The House has already passed the SAVE Act — several times — but it’s my guess the Senate never will. Throughout Trump’s presidency — both 45 and 47 — senators used their imperial blue slips to defeat DJT’s ability to appoint his team or pass his bills. Check out the records for Mitch McConnell, Chuck Grassley and John Thune.
Those numbers = Stonewalling. During the Civil War, General Thomas Jackson was nicknamed Stonewall by a fellow officer because when he entered any battle, he stood impenetrable, like a stone wall. Senate Majority John Thune is a Republican from South Dakota. I don’t know whether he is a confederate, but he is assuredly a traitor.
He and many Republicans in the Senate are members of the uniparty. These days they seem to be holding their breaths, doing as little as possible until Trump leaves office. That is treasonous.
This week Thune put out word that, in the face of the Texas primary elections, he was asking Trump to endorse incumbent Sen. John Cornyn. A RINO by instinct and record, Cornyn spent $100 million to barely make it into the runoff, while his opponent — MAGA favorite Ken Paxton — spent $4 million to nearly tie the incumbent. Wesley Hunt, a fabulous candidate who was the third man in the primary race, says Cornyn has turned into Biden 2.0 — “hiding, no real events, no grassroots support, just burning donor money on TV.”
Please Mr. President, do not go there. If you endorse Cornyn, you risk losing MAGA. And if you feel you must, at least force Thune to give you something in return — like the SAVE Act and an end to blue slips that clog your recess and regular appointments.
During his recent and triumphant State of the Union address, President Trump implored the Senate to take action on the SAVE Act. Many are urging Thune to conduct a “talking filibuster” during which Dems have a certain amount of time to debate, and then the Senate takes a vote, requiring only 51 votes to pass.
The House Freedom Caucus just put out an ad imploring Thune to take that path.
Conservatives are not holding their breath.
“When we lose the House in September, John Thune will be single-handedly responsible. But he’ll still be richer than all of you, so he just won’t care,” wrote James Woods on X. “Republicans are seriously more dangerous to America than the foul Democrats. At least the Democrats show you how vile they are.”
Or, as the New York Post’s Miranda Devine put it, “The difference between a leader and a cipher is if they stand up for what’s right at moments like these.”
There are a host of issues on the MAGA agenda this Do Nothing Congress has punted — banning Sharia Law, outlawing men in women’s sports, reigning in rogue judges and making English the official language of the United States. But if they also conduct business as usual on the SAVE Act — supported by 85% of the country — they will have failed the country in an epic standoff between their greed and our values.

Forgot to include Cornyn’s anti-MAGA history. He called J6ers insurrectionists & called on Trump to drop out of the 2024 election. https://x.com/realhickory/status/2029518808268890414?s=61
The Senate is telling the American people: "We don't want to change anything, and you can't make us."
"It's a big club, and you ain't in it."
"Fair elections are a direct threat to us. Screw you."
