Trump Derangement Syndrome Is Real. And It Might Just Be Fatal.
Spitting. Spitting. Shrieking through bullhorns. Giving the middle finger. Making noise. Melting down in public. Attacking worshippers in church, frightening the children of Jesus by screaming in their faces. Saluting chaos in the streets.
Left-wing women are the new face of domestic terrorism. So evident is the trend that a new acronym is making the rounds— Affluent White Female Urban Liberal, awful.
We’ve known for a long time — probably since 2015 — that Trump Derangement Syndrome was a serious ailment. Remember all those women at Trump’s first inaugural who wore pink vagina hats on their heads? Madonna was the keynote, normalizing anger because her side lost the election. A child’s tantrum.
“Welcome to the revolution of love. To the rebellion. To our refusal as women to accept this new age of tyranny. Where not just women are in danger but all marginalized people. Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House. But I know that this won’t change anything. We cannot fall into despair, It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f*** up. Good did not win this election, but good will win in the end. We will not back down.”
And what about those protests in front of Brett Kavanaugh’s house after the Dobbs decision overturning abortion was leaked? Statute 18 U.S.C. § 1507 makes it illegal to picket or parade “in or near a building or residence occupied or used by [a federal judge, juror, witness, or court officer]” with the “intent of interfering with, obstructing, or impeding the administration of justice, or with the intent of influencing any judge...in the discharge of his duty.” This was 2022, the Merrick Garland DOJ. No one was prosecuted. Oh, and the leaker was never “found.”
Now these hysterics are unleashing the power of hate on conservatives, trad wives and most especially the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers who are following federal laws enacted by Congress. In one horrifying incident at NYU Langone Emergency Room this week, two undercover NYPD narcotics agents — bloodied during an arrest of a combative suspect — were refused treatment after the medical personnel accused them of being ICE agents. The staff made them disarm under the hospital’s no-firearms policy and suggested they seek treatment elsewhere.
Later NYU apologized and promised to “retrain” the staff. But as Jonathan Turley noted, no one lost their job. Nor, I would add, their license to practice medicine.
The political weaponization of the nursing profession was not limited to New York.
Chanda Petrey-Czaruk is an RN in Ohio — and VP at First Choice Home Health. She posted a TikTok video of sarcastic and graphic wishes that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is pregnant, would experience traumatic childbirth injuries. So too did Lexie Lawler, a nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Florida. “As a labor and delivery nurse, it gives me great joy to wish Karoline Leavitt a fourth-degree tear,” she said, also on TikTok. Both of them were fired, but not stripped of their licenses to practice medicine.
When did hate replace empathy? When did nurses stop being nurturing? When politics or hatred of one president guides medical decisions, we are all in danger.
And nursing is not the only profession infected with late-stage TDS.
Once the legal profession valued loyalty to the law. Now the prevailing legal doctrine among federal judges is “Do Anything You Can to Stop Trump.’ Federal judges in Minnesota denied the DOJ’s request to detain two protestors who terrorized the Cities Church congregation. And another judge, Douglas Micko, rejected criminal charges against former CNN host Don Lemon, citing insufficient cause. Funny, didn’t look that way on the videos. In fact, it looked like Lemon was leading the charge.
Teachers have also been accused of shaming students for their support for Donald Trump, their love of country, or their MAGA hats. Chandler Renshaw, a teacher at North Garland High School in Texas, made a post online attacking Trump supporters, Christians, and ICE over deporting criminal illegals. “F*ck every person who voted for this... ‘fuck you’ to our government that is full of cowards.” She still has a job there.
Left-wing politicians, clinging to Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals and left-wing reporters, have given these raging snow flakes permission slips for anger, hatred and lawlessness. The other day the Dem attorney general of Arizona, Kris Mayes, encouraged people to report and dox ICE agents and suggested that under the state’s “stand your ground” law, Arizonans can shoot ICE agents if they feel threatened.
They have lost all sense of community, of decorum, of tolerance.
In Maryland, a 48-year-old woman was so triggered by seeing a house with a Charlie Kirk flag on it that she threw a rock into a window. She was arrested.
In Washington DC, agitators screamed “F-ck off, Nazi scum” at moms and kids as they left Christ Church on Pennsylvania Avenue., where War Secretary Pete Hegseth once attended services. Protestors also shouted, “Kirk Church, abort Christ.” A bullhorn-wielding protestor yelled “F-ck Jesus, Mary, and Joseph” in a demonic voice.
Here we return to the question of Trump Derangement Syndrome, which seems to be literally fueling a new level of mental illness. The Federalist’s Joshua Slocum argues that TDS is a Cluster B personality disorder— narcissistic and unglued from reality, expressed in rage and suicidal despair. It’s as if Trump himself is a proxy for the moral distortions of women who feel entitled, embracing obstruction to get their way.
In the process, they are fueling a new civil war, where blue states openly defy the federal government over immigration enforcement and Trump talks about invoking the Insurrection Act. I suspect Trump would rather not invoke that military last resort— imagine the outrage at CNN — but at the rate women are screaming — anger written on their faces as clear as ugly scars — he may have no choice.
And that is how TDS can lead to death.
