The other day, Jane Fonda suggested that in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs, with states enacting restrictive laws, abortion activists should kill pro-lifers.
A few weeks later, 28-year-old Audrey Hale did just that. Taking two assault-style weapons and a pistol in hand, she shot her way into Nashville’s Christian Covenant School, which she had attended as a child, and took out Michael Hill, school janitor and a father of eight, the head of the school Katherine Koonce and a substitute teacher Cynthia Peak. And three 9-year-old children: Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney and Hallie Scruggs, daughter of Covenant Presbyterian senior pastor Chad Scruggs. Police say the shooter had more ammo and more guns and planned to kill more. Hale had cleared all her background checks. But never missing an opportunity to exploit rather than comfort a grieving nation, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed Republicans for ignoring calls for gun control.
Hale left a trail of hate-filled writings behind, a manifesto the police have yet to release. But we know this: she identified as a man, asking on her LinkedIn page to be called “he/him,” and posed in photos not as Audrey but as Aiden. Even more appalling, something called the Trans Resistance Network rationalized the killing by saying “anti-trans hate” has “consequences.” I guess these trans extremists thought that after the Tennessee Legislature banned drag queen shows for children on public property, it was okay to kill the kids, because anything that bans trans excesses is bad.
Turns out this is not the first time a female transitioning to male — presumably with the help of aggression-increasing hormones — became violent. In 2019, Alec McKinney 17, helped killed a student in Colorado while she claimed to be nonbinary.
The Far Left has claimed for a long time that gender is just a social construct. Like Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s mad scientist in Frankenstein, they believed they could mix two parts sorcery with one part alchemy in a cauldron of disruption to birth a creature that would amaze the world. Instead, Frankenstein killed the mad scientist.
Transgenderism may be a social contagion but not, as feminists have long insisted, a social construct. Finally, we are at a point of clarity: Men cannot become women. Women cannot become men. Sure, men can affect the appearance of women, and women, men. And if it makes them happy, once they are adults, go for it. But biology rules. And in any event, giving females hormones that make them more aggressive may be a bad idea, and, according to many studies, is making them more suicidal.
A comprehensive study of outcomes in Sweden found that after sex reassignment, transgenders “have considerably higher risks for mortality, suicidal behavior, and psychiatric morbidity than the general population.” As always, many in the media, puppets for the Left’s radical agenda, work overtime to perpetuate a myth that these medically-induced bodily sex changes, in the words of the Hippocratic Oath, ‘do no harm.’ In a dubious poll of nearly 1400 respondents — 500 of them self-identified as transgenders — the Washington Post found that most are “satisfied with their lives.”
Now comes word that extremists are planning a three-day workshop in Washington D.C. this weekend. They call it “Trans Days of Vengeance.” On the agenda: the usual protests, speakers and fundraising, along with firearms training. Firearms training? For lefties calling for more gun control measures? So, gun control for thee, not me?
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) flagged this event, warning that it was sponsored by Antifa. Her post was taken down by twitter. Likewise a similar tweet by Sean Davis, CEO of the Federalist, and another by Daily Wire journalist Luke Rosnik. Ella Irwin, head of trust and safety at twitter, explained the media company did not want to foment violence. “Vengeance does not imply peaceful protest,” she said.
The call for a Trans Day of Vengeance was first promoted on twitter. The tweet is no longer available to the public. This is a screenshot.
Vengeance against what, you might wonder. Our society has been more than welcoming of transgender feelings and aspirations. You might even say enabling.
But these people are always victims first. They say they want “more visibility.” And to end “the genocide” against transgenders. Presumably this last refers to school districts and states that seek to limit the teaching of gender issues to young children, to purge from their libraries content that is graphically offensive, and to give parents a voice in what happens to their children.
If that is genocide, perhaps these transgender extremists should consult with the Uyghur (pronounced WE-ghur) Muslims who are subjected to torture, rape, forced labor and indoctrination in detention camps run by the Chinese Communist Party. Perhaps they should read Ethan Gutmann, author of Slaughter, who estimates that up to 50,000 Uyghurs and another 50,000 Falun Gong followers are being killed to harvest their body organs for sale. Every year. That’s genocide.
The other alarming aspect of the Radical Left these days is that it meets political defeat with political violence. Like Jane Fonda, they now advocate killing their opponents rather than debating them. After a conservative federal judge was heckled off the stage by angry students at Stanford Law School recently, an English professor at Wayne State suggested they should have killed him instead. And after the slaughter at the Covenant School, the press secretary to Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs posted this:
The press secretary, Josselyn Berry, was fired today. But how shocking that the Left is saying out loud that it intends to kill those of us who think life is a miracle.
Calls for murder of pro-lifers. Summons to kill anyone who disagrees with them. Firearms training for radical transgenders. A war on Christians and parents abetted by the US government’s Justice Department and FBI. What could possibly go wrong?
Well done, Johanna! You correctly identify another Leftist movement to divide the people of this country. So Biden, the rotting bag of oatmeal, wants an assault weapons ban (whatever an assault weapon is). An Assault Weapons Ban was passed in 1994. The Ban lasted 10 years. Once the law sunsetted the results were studied by several federal agencies--not one federal agency or any later independent analysis concluded the ban actually curtailed murder by assault weapons. The truth is the majority of murders are committed by handguns--not rifles or AR style weapons.
As we are seeing with the recent introduction of a bill written by the Biden regime to ostensibly end "Tick Tock" ...the bill is instead a "Trojan Horse" that does nothing of the sort. The bill to end "Tick Toc" instead allows the government to define who is a "foreign adversary" and to put in jail (for up to 20 years) without due process anyone communicating with a "foreign adversary" as defined by the federal government. I suspect any new "Assault Weapons" bill proposed by the Biden regime would be similar to the proposed bill to end "Tick Tock". Any proposed Assault Weapons Ban bill would instead be a law that would ultimately result in the taking all guns from the American people. Stay safe!
