The Wrong Side of History
During the Pandemic, and Beyond
It is hard to fathom why the Democrats are tilting their party away from common sense, but they are. Clinging to their Trump Derangement Syndrome, they have positioned themselves on the wrong side of every issue important to voters.
So far, even as President Trump’s approval rating climbs, the Democrat Party clutches its pearls in horror at Elon Musk’s extraordinary expose of waste, fraud and abuse, protests in anger the idea that transgender men can no longer beat up women in sports, colludes with illegal migrant criminals to prevent ICE from deporting them, advocates for violence in the streets and insists that defunding USAID and confirming Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as HHS secretary will mean “babies will die,” this from the same lefties who promote abortion in all nine months of pregnancy.
Calling Trump a white supremacist, they re-introduce reparations for black citizens descended from slaves. Shrieking from every corner and agency front in DC, they look deranged, even as they make internet sensations of stoic security guards who deny them access. Axios says mental health therapists report an uptick in DC patients.
Some Democrats understand that this is a losing strategy. Jon Lovett, former speechwriter to Barack Obama, marveled at what Musk and his team of whiz kids have unearthed in their uncovering of corruption that robbed taxpayers to pay, well, themselves. “Honestly some of this is pretty annoying because it’s some of the stuff we should’ve done,” he said. “We didn’t know you could do some of this.”
But most are doubling down, convinced that the same talking points Donald Trump defeated in 2024 will win in coming elections. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-TX, ridiculed Musk’s brainiacs for using algorithms instead of “regular” audits. Impressed, some are calling on her to run for president in 2028.
If most Dems are tone deaf to the popularity of the president’s energy and policies, voters are keenly aware of what they voted for, or anyway, what they voted against.
Every single one of the 77 million people who voted for Trump-Vance — every single one — has a memory of the pandemic, and of the lies that were told in its wake. The virus that the Biden administration insisted had not come out of the Wuhan lab. The vaccine that the FDA never tested with a control group, nor approved as anything but experimental. The schools that were closed while the Teachers Union got a salary increase. The grooming of school kids in the name of a transdenger cult, hidden from parents. The Facebook collusion with the White House in a reign of censorship that kept Americans from learning from RFK Jr. and others about the vaccine’s dangers. Mandating the experimental vaccine on all federal workers, at the penalty of losing their jobs. Weaponizing the Justice Department against the administration’s political foes — including parents at school board meetings and pro lifers in front of abortion clinics. Sending out the FBI to persecute more than 1,600 Americans who protested the 2020 election, as is their right, complete with pre-dawn swat team raids.
These are painful memories, of tyranny, seared into the nightmares of every American who lived through them. In retrospect, they seem incomprehensible in anything except a Kafka novel or George Orwell’s 1984. When you add that the Dems knew Joe Biden was mentally unfit, and probably corrupt, and kept him in office like some sort of Wizard of Oz hiding behind a curtain of fear, these scenes are unforgiveable.
If you have not watched it, take a look at the testimony of Lindy Li, a major Democrat fundraiser who was furious at how Kamala Harris wasted the money she and others had raised by $10s and $20s to fund the campaign. On the Shawn Ryan Show, she offered insights into who was running the White House, and why.
Now, Dems call for violence, even from the pulpit, when American cities have still not recovered from the damage done during the BLM riots in 2020. They attack Elon Musk as an unelected billionaire influencer, when they said nothing about the outsized influence of Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerburg. They call Trump a dictator, after they allowed 20 million illegal aliens into the country — increasing crime, Fentanyl deaths and sex trafficking. They belittle Trump’s efforts at Mideast peace, after not doing anything as Palestinians accosted Jewish students on their campuses and Hamas, fueled by Biden money sent to Iran, kidnapped Israelis and Americans alike.
Dear Dems: fake hysteria and crocodile tears will not erase these memories.

I never thought I would see the day that I would think or say this - but I 100% support the DNC to primary Jasmine Crockett for president 2028.
