The Kennedy Effect
This political year of 2024 has proven a roller coaster — and it’s not over yet.
Even as we brace ourselves for more drama, let us not forget that moment in August when Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his presidential campaign to join forces with Donald J. Trump, who embraced RFK Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again agenda.
Then, there were fireworks. In the weeks since, it has become clear that the alliance between a Kennedy and a Trump over the issue of chronic illnesses, in wake of a worldwide pandemic, has delivered a jolt of electricity that could prove decisive.
At the end of all of his speeches, Trump catalogues the ways in which he hopes to rescue this country from four years of an open border, crime in the streets, crippling inflation and endless international wars. There’s "Make America Safe Again.” There’s “Make America Powerful Again.” There’s “Make America Wealthy Again.”
But when he gets to “Make America Healthy Again,” there’s a roar that always thrills me. And it makes me realize that there’s anger brewing inside the American soul about chronic illness, unhealthy food choices and a profusion of medicines meant not to heal but to enslave. And about all the lies we were told during COVID — that masks, 6-feet of separation, school closings would stop the spread, that Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were safe and effective. Tell that to all the Covid injured. Tell that to the families of all those young healthy athletes who died of myocarditis.
Kennedy, who founded Children’s Health Defense to protect children from environmental toxins and unsafe vaccines, has said that he has prayed to God for years to have the political power required to implement changes. If Trump wins, he will.
More and more health professionals and healthy living influencers are speaking up publicly about the dangers of the Medical-Pharma-Agriculture Complex that with the encouragement of the ruling elites in Washington and on Wall Street are jeopardizing our health. They are the voices and energy behind Make American Healthy Again.
Vani Hari, food activist and author of FoodBabe.com, recently testified before a congressional hearing. She said food companies are poisoning us, and that the ingredients are far more toxic than those provided to consumers in Europe. In a bag of Skittles, for instance, there are 10 artificial dyes, and titanium dioxide, banned in Europe because it can cause DNA damage. Artificial dyes are made from petroleum, and require a warning labels in Europe that they can cause adverse effects in children. Hari said they can also cause cancer. She also talked about McDonald’s french fries. Take a look here:
The hearing, chaired by Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, also featured Dr. Casey Means, a surgeon and author of Good Energy: The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health, who spoke about her medical school training.
“I learned virtually nothing at Stanford Medical School about the tens of thousands of scientific papers that elucidate the root causes of why American health is plummeting. I did not learn that for each additional serving of ultra-processed food we eat, early mortality increases by 18%. This now makes up 67% of the foods our kids are eating. I took zero nutrition courses in medical school.
“I didn’t learn that 82% of independently-funded studies show harm from processed food, while 93% of industry-sponsored studies reflect no harm. I didn’t learn that 95% of the people who created the recent USDA food guidelines for America had significant conflicts of interest with the food industry. I did not learn that one billion pounds of synthetic pesticides are being sprayed on our foods every single year — strongly linked to autism, ADHD, sex hormone disruption, thyroid disease, sperm dysfunction, Alzheimer’s, dementia, birth defects, cancer, obesity, liver dysfunction, female infertility and more.
“I didn’t learn that there are more than 80,000 toxins that have entered our food, water, air, and homes by industry, many of which are banned in Europe, and they are known to alter our gene expression, alter our microbiome composition and the lining of our gut, and disrupt our hormones. I didn’t learn that heavy metals like aluminum and lead are present in our food, our baby formula, personal care products, our soil, and many of the mandated medications like vaccines, and that these metals are neurotoxic and inflammatory.
In his book The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health, RFK Jr. was, by his own admission, quite critical of former CDC Director Robert Redfield for his handling of the epidemic. But this week, Redfield wrote an editorial in Newsweek saying he was voting for Trump. The reason: Trump has pledged to restore American health and “he has chosen exactly the only person who can do this.” Afterward Redfield had lunch with RFK Jr and told him, “You got everything right.” For Kennedy, vilified and censored for his warnings about the COVID vaccine, ostracized by his family and his political party for saying children should not take the vaccine, the sea change was “breathtaking.”
And maybe, just maybe, victorious.
