The Badass Brigade
Asked by the media about Donald Trump’s Cabinet appointments so far, Sen. John Fetterman — the hoodie-wearing Dem senator from PA — laughed. “God-tier level trolling to just trigger a full-on China Syndrome, to own the libs in perpetuity.”
True. But President-elect Trump’s key National Security selections are more than an amusing attempt to rile his opponents. They are the first salvos in what could be an ugly and dangerous war between the White House and the Deep State.
The neocons who cheered us into wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, led by Dick Cheney, have departed for the Democrat Party. Trump’s Make American Great Again movement has won converts in the GOP. They call it America First.
In selecting Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, Trump chose a man who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, earned two bronze stars and recently wrote a book, The War on Warriors, that chronicles the poisoning of our military readiness with Woke policies.
As if on cue, the Left howled. Sen. Elizabeth Warren insisted Hegseth wasn’t qualified for the job because he was also a Fox News anchor. Warren had no trouble confirming Pete Buttigieg as Secretary of Transportation, even though the former mayor of South Bend had no experience in the field. But she knew Hegseth was unqualified, she said in a statement, because her three brothers all served in uniform. The media followed suit, in chatter and headlines, wondering if it was a joke.
But Hegseth has thought long and deep on how to reform the Pentagon. Here he is on the Shawn Ryan Show. Notice the tattoo on his arm that says, in the same 18th century script of the Declaration of Independence, “We The People.” Imagine a Defense Sec who has pledged his allegiance to his fellow citizens, in ink.
Naming Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence was genius.
Targeted by federal surveillance programs for daring to question DC’s forever wars, super-searched by TSA whenever she travels, Lt. Col. Gabbard, a veteran and reservist, a former Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii, will now OWN all federal intel — including the kind that led to her persecution in the first place.
She is a soldier who champions peaceful solutions to conflict, a posture that caused Bari Weiss to label her “a toadie to (Syria’s) Assad.” Gabbard’s critics never mention that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also met with Assad, using the same argument. Apparently when Dems meet with bad guys, it’s part of diplomatic outreach.
The truth is Gabbard knows the horror of wars. Hillary Clinton, who called Gabbard a Russian asset. only knows how to make money off them for her Clinton Foundation.
Trump also named Tom Homan — former acting director of ICE, a plain-talking enforcer — as the new Border Czar.
He promptly warned illegal migrants to pack their bags and self-deport. Those who did could apply to return — from the back of the line. As for the rest, criminals will be deported first. The Left’s 60 Minutes pressed him on whether he could keep from separating families. Sure, he said, “families could be deported together.” To local officials like Chicago’s Brandon Johnson who insisted with bravado that no deportations would take place on their watch, he said simply, “Get out of my way.”
Amid the head-spinning, Trump unleashed his biggest Mother of All Bombs announcement (so far). He appointed Matt Gaetz as Attorney General.
As one general predicted on the eve of the US assault on Baghdad on the eve of the Iraq War, there will be “shock and awe.” BOOM!
As a congressman, Gaetz had been targeted by the feds. A DOJ investigation into sex trafficking allegations never led to charges. As AG, he will be Trump’s avenger.
Trump was hounded by a Justice Department outreach to reporters that led to two impeachments during his first term, and subjected to four prosecutions by a corrupt Justice Department this year when he was the leading contender for the GOP nomination, a deliberate, organized attempt to rob him of reputation and treasure.
Every time they indicted him, his popularity grew. Every event in his judicial journey — the mug shot, the cameras, the partisan prosecutors and judges — spiked his polls.
Trump knows his MAGA supporters have his back. And he knows that Merrick Garland’s Justice Department targeted many of them — parents protesting school board policies, Catholics praying in church, pro-life activists peacefully encouraging life over abortion and Jan 6 defendants protesting the stolen election of 2020.
Some 1,550 were prosecuted for objecting to the election results, many who simply walked through the open doors of the Capitol. Now that we have the raw totals on the 2024, it becomes clear that Biden’s outsized tally was impossible. Barack Obama in 2012, Hillary Clinton in 2016, Kamala Harris in 2024 — none reached that level.
Two Obama-appointed federal judges have postponed trials for Jan 6 defendants, in the expectation that Trump will pardon them. This is an implicit acknowledgement that the charges were always political. If a reformed DOJ prosecutes those who fueled a false narrative of what happened that day as an insurrection, it could change history.
But the FBI’s Christopher Wray’s still hasn’t gotten the word.
On Wednesday of this week, he sent 28 FBI agents in full military gear to wake and harass 26-year-old Shayne Coplan, founder & CEO of Polymarket, the world’s largest prediction market, that allows users to bet on future events. Unlike corrupt mainstream pollsters who rigged their polls toward Kamala Harris, Polymarket let betters vote. In May, Polymarket’s users said there was a 56% chance Trump would beat Biden. On Election Day, 85% of the betters thought Trump would beat Harris.
In naming John Radcliffe head of the CIA, Trump opens the door to declassification of a lot of files that have been hidden behind a cloak of secrecy. One of those files is on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. And if these files contain evidence of CIA conspiracy, they could constitute a massive disruption of agency intel officers.
No one thinks they will go quietly.

What fun we will have! From dreading the daily news --what are the dems going to do to us today? To-- how will Trump and his cabinet Make American Greater today? No, the dems and the deep state will not go quietly but in the face of a mandate from the people of this great country it will be very difficult for them to fight back. Just think, it will be like a litmus test that exposes the Marxists--those that scream the loudest should get our undivided attention.
Absolutely love the Badass Brigade! Such a refreshing change from woke ideologues of the last four years. It is about time we had qualified leaders who strike fear into the hearts of our enemies.
