Los Angeles is on fire, and the legacy media is trotting out their usual lies to stoke left-wing violence. This time, they are pretending that this is all Trump’s fault, for instructing ICE to enforce immigration laws already on the books, laws that were flagrantly ignored by the treasonous Biden White House. “Lawful protests, with some unrest,” reported CNN Sunday. If this sounds familiar it is a replay of CNN’s reporting in Kenosha WI in 2020 after a police shooting, where a reporter for CNN declared the riots “mostly peaceful,” as the city burned behind him.
There is much talk about who is paying millions to stage the riots. Which may explain why the protest signage is uniform, why the tactics — hurling bricks and concrete at law enforcement, closing down the 101 Freeway on both sides — is so coordinated.
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) received tens of millions of dollars in government grants during the Biden administration and is a major funder of the riots, reports the NY Post. The radical group got $450,000 in grants for “citizenship education and training” between October 2021 and September 2024 from the DHS, which, under Trump, has since cut ties with the group, even as DOGE clawed back $100,000. The rest of CHIRLA’s annual $34 million budget is funded by the state of California, which increased the organization’s budget this year by $12 million. So, a riot self-funded by the very Dems who claim it’s organic.
The Post also tags the Marxist Party for Socialism and Liberation as a funder. Don’t you just love the name? Unlike “Humane Immigrant Rights,” these guardians of socialism and liberation theory just put it all out there, right in the title.
These social warriors stoked virulent anti-Israel campus protests at Columbia University. They have ties to the Chinese Communist Party through Neville Singham, who sold his tech company ThoughtWorks for $785 million, and his wife, Jodie Evans, founder of activist group Code Pink. Bretibart reports the same group is hosting anti-ICE protests in San Antonio. Why do these George Soros wannabes so hate America?
Then there’s the question of the timing of the riots.
The legacy media types insist the LA riots were sparked by spontaneous outrage against ICE for deporting illegals. Follow the money — and hat tip here to Jeff Childers — and you will see Mexico’s president suggest mobilizing protest.
On discovering that the Big Beautiful Bill includes a 5% tax on remittances, which migrants send home to Mexico to the tune of about $64 billion a year, President Claudia Sheinbaum sent a delegation to Washington to try to kill the provision.
She also called the tax “unacceptable,” and yelled in a fiery address, “If necessary, we will mobilize! We do not want taxes on remittances from our compatriots!”
Perhaps that’s why the Mexican flag is flying high about those burning Waymos cars.
China may be helping with funding — anything to fan the flames of anti-Americanism — but it is Mexico that is providing the bodies. As this chart from the Inter-American Development Bank makes clear, over $155 billion was wired from the U.S. to Latin America and the Caribbean in 2023 — a 9.5% spike from the year before.
No wonder those countries had no incentive to close the US border.
Following the Mexican president's call for protests, Senator Eric Schmitt, R-MO, said he plans to introduce a bill raising tax remittances to Mexico even higher, from 3.5% to 15%. “America is not the world's piggy bank. And we don't take kindly to threats.”
The media keeps calling this a peaceful protest. One ABC reporter insisted, “It’s just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn.”
Maybe insurrection would be a better word choice. Funded by China and socialists, fueled by Mexico, the LA riots could also be called an invasion.
After January 6, 2021, the US government weaponized our Justice Department to hunt down, torment and brutalize January 6 protestors, many of whom are recorded on video walking peacefully into the U.S. Capitol to challenge the 2020 election results.
Prager U recently interviewed Brandon Straka, who founded WalkAway to encourage Dems to vote conservative, and John Strand, who was forced to endure four months in solitary confinement because he refused to sign a plea agreement. It is long, but well-worth watching, if only to view through their eyes the face of government tyranny.
There is a lot at stake here.
During the 2020 riots following George Floyd’s death, President Trump 45 offered to send National Guard. But officials in Minneapolis — hello Gov. Walz — declined. This time, when Gov Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass objected, President Trump 47 sent the National Guard anyway. If he has to, he will send the Army too.
Restoring our country to law and order, clearing our streets of radical activists funded by the Left, eliminating the illegal alien criminals who have preyed on our women and girls, defeating government tyranny and censorship — these are foundations of MAGA, the base on which Trump 47 stands.
Excellent article, Johanna!
The interview of the two J'6'ers was very informative ....the legal vice the government put these men/women into to force confessions to offenses never committed is pure tyranny. The judges and prosecutors that initiated this activity should be prosecuted.
If antipathy towards Trump's administration, with the addition of a tax on remittances, it's time to declare all the organizations that support this BS as terrorists, stop funding them, prosecute them, deport ALL illegals, and use the same records that identify the remittances and their senders/receivers to verify citizenship, and if an illegal is sending money, detain and deport them.
As to the president of Mexico's opinion, I don't give a good damn. Another country that lives off what they can carve off the American body and complain when we take some of it back. FAFO!
