It has become an iconic image, of President Trump rising from an assassination attempt, blood dripping down his face, fist in the air, shouting, “Fight, Fight, Fight!” All over the world, the character Trump displayed that day has earned him props as a profile in courage. Or, as Trump’s political foe Mark Zuckerberg put it, “badass.”
Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of Butler, PA, where President Trump was almost assassinated by a lunatic with a rifle perched on a roof nearby. Or maybe it would be more accurate to say he was almost assassinated by the inept or corrupt security forces guarding him. Just this week, six Secret Service agents were suspended. Questions remain. CNN, so partisan the network boycotted Trump’s joyous campaign events throughout 2024 for fear of giving him political oxygen, live-streamed only one Trump speech — Butler. Why? Was the network tipped?
Since Butler — which killed fireman Corey Comperatore, who jumped on top of his wife and daughters to protect them — far-left Dems have only increased their calls for Trump’s murder. Pretending to see no connection between their violent rhetoric and bloodshed, or maybe becaue they do, they proudly display signs calling for “8647” and wear t-shirts asking “Is He Dead Yet?”
This week, far-left Axios ran a piece in which an unnamed House Democrat disclosed that “our own base is telling us that what we’re doing is not good enough … [that] there needs to be blood to grab the attention of the press and the public.”
The current target of their unhinged rage is ICE. Like the rogue judges who think they can ignore the will of Americans who resonated to Trump’s call to deport criminal illegal aliens, an Antifa cell group hatched a major terror plot to kill ICE agents in Texas. In Alvarado, just south of Fort Worth, ten heavily-armed militants wearing tactical gear attacked the Prairieland ICE Detention Center. Armed with AR-style rifles, they waited to open fire until they had lured law enforcement outside with fireworks. One Alvarado police officer was shot in the neck. Federal agents returned fire. American Thinker called it “political terrorism.” As EndWokeness noted, 11 have been arrested, but nary a word in the mainstream media.
Like blood pouring from an open wound, violence is escalating, all over the country. In Van Nuys, four anti-ICE activists were arrested for planting tire spikes near federal police units. In Portland, four violent Antifa activists were arrested for assaulting an ICE facility on the Fourth of July. In New York, a man was arrested for threatening to murder an ICE agent and his kids.
A Dem influencer named Tiffany Cross said on CNN this week that Trump is kidnapping non-white people and throwing them into concentration camps. Presumably this is a reference to Alligator Alcatraz, which features air conditioning so good one illegal immigrant activist complained it was freezing in there. Enough.
One year after Butler, eight years after the Charlottesville hoax in which Dems twisted Trump’s words to make him appear a racist, and given the arrest this week of a man threatening to kill Trump, Pam Bondi and Stephen Miller, it is way past time for the Left to stop yelling Hitler, pretending Trump is a fascist and to accept responsibility for the violence their words have incited in their base. Far from being repentant, this week, 200 Dems voted against a House resolution condemning anti-ICE violence.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the Dems, led by the angry Joe Biden, who turned authoritarian. They closed schools in ways that set back our children’s education, required vaccines that turned out to be deadly, censored Americans who questioned their policies, closed churches and gyms but not liquor stores, waged war against fossil fuels and opened our borders to a mass invasion, all meant to destabilize our society and keep them in power.
Now, the National Education Association — the largest union of teachers — has adopted a business plan “to defend against Trump’s embrace of fascism by using the term facism [sic] in NEA materials correctly characterize Donald Trump's program and actions.” Aside from the grammar and spelling mistakes, the statement raises serious questions about the safety of our children in public schools. At the same meeting, teachers vowed to protect LGBT+ books and promote racial justice.
The greatest irony is that Dems, once the party of masks — whether at Antifa’s “peaceful” street rallies or at more recent pro-Hamas campus protests — are backing a bill prohibiting ICE and Border Protection officers from wearing face coverings. Corey Booker (D-NJ) and Alex Padilla (D-CA) — who shed tears on the Senate floor over ICE’s detention of criminals — authored the bill, to make doxxing easier.
“They wouldn’t be saying that if they didn’t hate our country, and they obviously do,” Trump said of the senators. Dems “have a lot of bad things going on in their heads,” and have become “somewhat deranged,” Trump said, adding that if you expose federal officers, whom he called patriots, “you put them in great danger, tremendous danger.”
Texas has a new cry — Remember Alvarado. And so does MAGA — Remember Butler. Because heroes are fighting to keep us safe from the unhinged.
I do not condone violence for violence's sake, however it's legal and common sense to respond to an attack with sufficient force to neutralize the threat. The leftist progressives and their organizations are threatening the lives of our ICE Agents and their families - I assume lethal force is allowable in a situation such as this. Does every attack need to be responded to with lethal force? In my opinion, yes. The rules of engagement be damned, waiting for a battle dressed person to actually open fire is stupid. If it looks like a threat, treat it like a threat.
And if one Antifa member is killed when that person didn't plan violence, that's the cost of doing what they do. Civilian casualties are understood to be an unfortunate result of war. Non-violent Antifa members are the civilians of their war on the United States.
