Is the Media Prolonging the Iran War?
President Trump certainly thinks so. In a recent Truth Social post, he wrote:
I’m winning a War, BY A LOT, things are going very well, our Military has been amazing and, if you read the Fake News, like The Failing New York Times, the absolutely horrendous and disgusting Wall Street Journal, or the now almost defunct, fortunately, Washington Post, you would actually think we are losing the War. The enemy is confused, because they get these same Media “reports,” and yet they realize their Navy has been completely wiped out, their Air Force has gone onto darker runways, they have no Anti Missile or Anti Airplane Equipment, their former leaders are mostly gone (This has been, in addition to everything else, Regime Change!), and perhaps, most important of all, THE BLOCKADE, which we will not take off until there is a “DEAL,” is absolutely destroying Iran. They are losing $500 Million Dollars a day, an unsustainable number, even in the short run. The Anti-America Fake News Media is rooting for Iran to win, but it’s not going to happen, because I’m in charge! Just like these unpatriotic people used every ounce of their limited strength to fight me in the Election, they continue to do so with Iran. The result will be the same — It already is! President DONALD J. TRUMP
If you follow the legacy media, you will understand their strategy. Their talking points read like a bad script of a tired trope: Trump has no goal (except removal of Iran’s nuclear capability of course) and he’s gone mad, unleashing chaos (or, depending on your view, offering a master class in Four D Chess). I’ve often wondered why we call them the legacy media, as their only footprint is a tradition of deception.
In one example, MS Now’s Stephanie Ruhle praised Iran, on the air, for “the fact that they have a deep belief in something. That’s unfathomable to (Trump), that they will die for.” What’s hard to fathom is that she didn’t know Trump took a bullet for his country. Or that some 40,000 Iranian protestors were killed by the regime for demanding things we take for granted: inalienable rights, and consent of the governed.
If that were not enough, Trump and his allies have to deal with a treasonous Democrat leadership that thinks it’s fine to publicly root against the US, even as our troops are involved in a hot war. On reports that several Iranian vessels bypassed the US blockade of the Hormuz Strait, Sen. Chris Murphy, a darling of Connecticut Dems, posted one word: “Awesome.” Later he claimed he was just being sarcastic.
At the Pentagon, spokesman Sean Parnell was unequivocal.
Sen. John Fetterman, D-PA, has become the voice of reason for a party that has lost its perspective. He told CNN, “People in my party and in the media have turned Iran into the underdog. They’re [cheering] for Iran at this point. It’s ABSURD!"
They are rooting for an enemy that preached “Death to America” for 47 years. At a security conference in Munich last week, both Murphy and one-time vice presidential candidate Tim Walz criticized the war. There used to be an expression in politics, ‘Disagreements end at the water’s end.’ Politicians might disagree with one another on policy and politics, but once they left US shores, they muted their objections.
No more. Now we are in a fight for the soul of the nation, brass-knuckled.
After the election in Virginia the other day that gerrymandered the state from a 6-5 Congressional delegation to a 10-1 ratio between Dems and Republicans, it is clear that Dems are far better at lawfare than Republicans. The “no” vote was winning, until Fairfax County posted its results, overwhelmingly yes, many by mail-in ballots.
Maybe that is exactly why Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a RINO, slow-walked the SAVE America Act. He too doesn’t like to give Trump any wins.

Perhaps we could call the "legacy media" something like "captured media" or "compromised media", or similar.
It is always the same with them. It's beyond tiresome. And it's dangerous to American morale. It grinds down hope.
The greatest danger to Trump's policy initiatives is the RINO elite cabal in the Senate led by pretty boy Thune. The Salazar tribe in the House is equally divisive.
