Is Google Evil Enough to Throw Elections?
Before Google’s initial public stock offering in 2004, founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin seemed to understand the raw power of the behemoth they had created. After all, a browser with Google’s powerful algorithms could be a cause for good, or for evil. So they adopted a slogan, Don’t Be Evil. In their letter to investors they wrote:
Google users trust our systems to help them with important decisions: medical, financial and many others. Our search results are the best we know how to produce. They are unbiased and objective, and we do not accept payment for them or for inclusion or more frequent updating. … We believe it is important for everyone to have access to the best information and research, not only to the information people pay for you to see.
Once the founders sold the company to Alphabet in 2018, the motto all but disappeared. In its place: Do the Right Thing. The instinct to avoid using technology for ill had morphed into an instruction to use technology to pursue an agenda.
Last week, Google demonstrated just how evil that could be.
PragerU, the conservative website founded by Dennis Prager, produced a new documentary called “Dear Infidels: A Warning to America.” In it, Muslims who escaped from the oppression of extreme Islamic regimes spoke about their experience, along with U.S. Navy SEALs who witnessed Islamic barbarism. A trailer for the short documentary — sharing stories of a former Palestinian refugee and an Arab Muslim in Israel — attracted 42 million views on X.
This of course does not fit the narrative of the Radical Left, in which Israel is the bad guy, the colonizer, and Islamic extremist countries are pure. So Google, the Censor in Chief, told Prager U it was removing its app from the app store, because exposing radical Islamic extremism constitutes “hate speech, content asserting that a protected group is inhuman, inferior, or worthy of being hated.” This is how Google seeks to silence those of us who oppose Hamas, support Israel, or seek to teach an ignorant generation of the brainwashed that they are joining an intifada against America.
Google must have received sufficient pushback that they relented, this time, telling Prager U that it had reviewed the situation and had reinstated the university’s app.
In 2020, Facebook and the old Twitter froze the New York Post out of its accounts for publishing what came to be known as Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell.” The laptop showed that Hunter was an addict, and that he and his father were extracting money from corrupt officials in Ukraine and China in exchange for political access.
Some 51 former intelligence officials — almost all Dems — told the Washington Post that the lap top story “had all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” There was no evidence for this — just a retread of the repeated Russian collusion canard Hillary Clinton tried to pin on Trump — but politico.com went with it anyway, headlining, “Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say.” That headline is still up on politico’s website. And the Pulitzer Prizes awarded to the WashPost and NYT for their Russian hoax coverage were never revoked.
During Hunter Biden’s recent trial for lying about his addiction on a gun license application (he was convicted), the FBI authenticated the lap top. In 2020, CBS’ Sixty Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl waved off President Trump’s efforts to cite the laptop to back up his claims of corruption against Biden by saying, “The laptop’s not been validated.” Will any of these people admit error? No. They’re doubling down.
This year, look for lots of suppression of stories about illegal immigrants committing crimes, or biological males damaging women’s sports, or children being sexualized by drag queens in kindergarten, or struggling Americans having to choose between food and gas, or the incumbent messing up. Google, FB and their allies in the print press and cable TV will likely spread false rumors like today’s hot mess WashPost report that Trump would impose mandatory military service, an idea he quickly bashed on Truth Social. Meanwhile the Justice Department, in its two-tiered approach to justice, will buttress media blackouts by criminalizing speech. Already:
The DOJ has lodged four felony counts against Dr. Ethin Haim for blowing the whistle against Texas Children’s Hospital for continuing to castrate and mutilate children after promising to stop, even as the state investigates the hospital.
The DOJ continues to prosecute 75-year-old women for peacefully praying in front of abortion clinics, while pressing no charges against pro-Hamas protestors who defaced historic statues in Lafayette Park across from the White House.
The DOJ is prosecuting Steve Baker, a reporter for Blaze TV, for his reporting on the Jan 6 riots. Meanwhile a newly-released video that was suppressed during congressional hearings, taken by her daughter for an HBO special, shows then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi taking responsibility for failing to call out the National Guard. After the video was released by a GOP-controlled House Committee this week, she went on MSNBC to blame Trump and “his toadies’ for their “historic revisionist” actions.
Implications for 2024 are huge. And the media establishment — still suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome — will rationalize that the ends justifies the means.
“Google continues to demonstrate how powerful and dangerous they are by censoring ideas they don’t agree with,” said Prager’s Marketing Director Craig Strazzeri.
The White House too.

Thank you Johanna, for your insights into the tyranny of the current administration- it's takes real courage to write and publish such poignant articles. God Bless America!
I remember that 60Mins! Trump brought up the laptop and Leslie Stahl dismissed him like he was a five year old. Same with Biden during a debate about Hunter taking money from China! The truth is so easily brushed aside!
Let’s hope we can get through this election without any “manipulation from Russia”😒
