Hurricane? Biden-Harris Put America Last
Hurricane Helene devastated a swath of states from Florida, Georgia, Tennessee to North Carolina, leaving millions without power or cell service or anyway to call for help. Asheville, NC, a charming city of the arts, music and the Gilded Age Biltmore Estate, was devastated, isolated from the rest of the world for three days. Residents in the idyllic beautiful mountains above the city were trapped by impassable roads, with dwindling supplies of water, baby formula and food. And, as early relief supplies came trickling in, looters vandalized. “If you have a weapon, keep it on you,” advised a resident who posted on X, “because there are people intentionally sabotaging stuff.”
In the White House, President Biden said FEMA did pre-position a lot of supplies but “no one knew exactly how devastating it would be.” Now, he said, “I’m going to ask the American people to continue to help fund the needs of these people. It’s not gonna be one hit and it’s over. It’s gonna take a helluva a long time and cost a helluva of a lot of money but this is United States of America and we’ve got to do it.”
So it’s come to this. After spending $175 billion in Ukraine, after handing out thousands of dollars to illegal migrants every month, after spiking inflation by spending $369 billion on an Inflation Reduction Act he now admits was really a green new deal bill, Biden wants Americans to fund the relief effort out of their own pockets. The Internet exploded with anger. “You have bled this country and the American people dry,” wrote Lucy Hannah. “Why don’t you donate your salaries?”
And those who survived Hurricane Helene wondered, where was FEMA? A woman in Tennessee who called herself PoolLady1616, without power or runnning water, was furious after FEMA told local residents that they would not go into heavily damaged areas because it was too dangerous. “What! You are the disaster relief people — that is your job —to go into the areas that are hit by disaster!” she said on TikTok. “Not just to go to the easy area and wait for the people who are in the disaster area to be able to come to you. I don’t think you understood the assignment.”
Elsewhere in Tennessee, residents were fuming because The Biden sent 700 National Guardsmen to Kuwait, to help in the wars in the Mideast. And in NC, one resident told news reporters that the administration had been absent for four days. “Nobody’s gonna help us,” she lamented. Asked if she had any faith in the feds, she said, “No.”
Not waiting for the federal government, Americans have volunteered, rescuing family members, offering water and gas, even shelter. Churches, good samaritans, truckers, nurses, food donors — a friend in Asheville told me these local first responders have been incredible. Those who can do even more stepped up too. Visiting Valdosta, GA yesterday, Trump delivered supplies and started a GoFundMe page for Hurricane Helene relief that has already raised $2 million. Then he called his friend Elon Musk, who was already putting his Starlink terminals to areas in need, to put more in NC.
As for VP Kamala Harris, she was all optics.
First, there was a staged photo of her on her plane, pretending to take notes on paper that was blank while pretending to listen to a briefing with the Democrat Gov of NC. The image dissolved when critics noticed that her earbuds were not plugged into her cellphone. “No clue what she is doing,” former President Trump wrote on Truth Social. “You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work!”
Then, the White House staged a briefing for her at FEMA HQ. Except she refused to take any questions from reporters. No substance, just a photo op.
Some said the administration didn’t care because the affected areas were all in Red states, likely white Republicans.
Others wondered if Helene would become Kamala’s Katrina — that horrendous hurricane in 2005 that nearly drowned New Orleans. Then, images of black residents on rooftops begging to be rescued doomed President Bush’s response, tagging him as unfeeling, and racist. Now, images of white bodies dangling from trees where they were impaled and a death rising beyond 133 could similarly haunt Biden and Harris as clueless. Maybe that’s why media propagandists, ever eager to quash news that hurts Harris, has not covered Helene with the unrelenting focus they gave to Katrina.
But I think the inept federal response to Helene was much more dangerous than that.
At its core, it exposes the shocking decision by this White House to distort the mission of federal agencies to its own political goals. Biden and Harris prize their globalist mission more than they care about their citizens. Democrats will go to great lengths — from rewriting the First Amendment to packing the Supreme Court — if they win power again. They salute Davos, not Asheville.
According to America First Legal, the premier law firm for conservative causes, the Biden-Harris administration has, over the last four years “steadily transformed FEMA — the agency responsible for responding to natural disasters like Hurricane Helene — into an illegal alien resettlement agency that emphasizes DEI over public safety.” FEMA’s shelter and services program is now exclusively serving illegal migrants, to the tune of $1 billion a year. That is why FEMA has been MIA in Tennessee.
DEI won. Illegal migrants won. Everyday Americans lost.

Thank you for publishing this article — I pray that Americans who live in Western North Carolina vote for a government that actually cares about them. Governor DeSantis (Rep.-FL) and President Trump have shown the world how it’s done. Let’s kick these pathetic self-serving politicians out of Washington this November!
