God Bless The Men (Updated)
The crowds were massive — an estimated 57,000 came Saturday to see a triumphant president return to the scene of the Butler, PA rally where he almost lost his life to an assassin’s bullet, and to honor Corey Comperatore, who threw his body on top of his wife and daughter to shield them from the flying bullets that took his own life.
At 6:11 p.m., at the moment when the shots rang out in Butler last July 13, Donald Trump called for a moment of silence, to honor those who suffered. Then he said:
“We have fought together, we have endured together, we have pushed on together, and right here in Pennsylvania, we have bled together. Twelve weeks ago, we all took a bullet for America. All we are all asking is that everyone goes out and votes. We’ve got to win. We can’t let this happen to our country.”
Elon Musk spoke. So did VP candidate J.D. Vance. Lee Greenwood sang his signature “Proud to be an American.” And opera singer Christopher Macchio sang Ava Maria.
These are men, full of vigor — Elon all but bounded up on the stage — willing to stand up for their country and shout, “Fight, Fight, Fight.” These are the men the Left is so eager to disparage, especially the white men, as examples of male toxicity.
At the rally in Butler and in the ravaged mountains of North Carolina, there are men, putting their own muscle to work to rescue their fellow Americans. They are delivering supplies to residents trapped in the mountains in western NC and Tennessee — on foot, helicopter, and a Cajun mule team. It’s as if the 18th century has returned to Appalachia, no FEMA strings. And those in need praise what the Left calls their “masculine toxicity,” that can-do American spirit that propels progress.
The situation is so dire that NC sheriffs are threatening to arrest FEMA officials if they stand in the way of private relief efforts. They’re also telling residents to “feel free to defend their property from looters by whatever means they have.”
Elon Musk has been working with helicopters provided by the private charity Mercury One to get his Starlink terminals and supplies to residents stranded without Internet service for more than a week. “My blood is boiling,” he said when FEMA blocked them. He got Transportation Sec Pete Buttigieg on the phone to clear them. Mayor Pete insisted there was no FEMA blockade. Then the helicopters landed.
“If you're a f*cking American, and you're in need, and your country has turned their back on you, and your police has turned their back on you, and they started putting barriers up to restrict you, then that is a **** police state. Communism.”
A month to go before the election, and we are all still holding our breath. We don’t know if MAGA will be able to produce a landslide, one “too big to rig,” as Trump likes to say. We don’t know if the votes of illegal migrants, being registered in blue states, will offset the impressive gains Trump has made in attracting black voters, Hispanic voters, even, thanks to Barron Trump, Gen Z voters. Talk about a Great Reset.
And now I wonder, amid rumors that the government is seeding our skies, whether Hurricane Helene — and soon Hurricane Milton — is the Dems’ October Surprise.
In October 1947, GE scientists, partnering with the Army, Naval Research Lab and the US Weather Bureau, launched Project Cirrus. An Air Force B-17 penetrated a hurricane 415 m east of Jacksonville, FL and dumped 200 lbs of crushed dry ice into the storm, just to see what would happen. The hurricane made an abrupt turn toward Miami. Was the turn caused by seeding, the winds, something else? No one knew.
Ever since, government officials have hinted at attempts to change the direction, severity or impact of hurricanes. Lately, it has been pitched as an attempt to corral global warming, an article of faith among the Left, and of dubious claim by the Right.
The most explicit of these advocates was President Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan, yes the same one who fueled the Crossfire Hurricane investigation into the false accusation of colluding with Russia to win the 2016 election, ultimately discredited by Robert Mueller. In 2016, Brennan advocated atmospheric aerosol injection, called SAI, to combat climate change. “An SAI program could limit global temperature increases, providing the world economy additional time to transition from fossil fuels.” Plus it’s cheap, he said, only $10b a year. Speech below.
All of these snapshots of history and worry are circling now because victims of Hurricane Helene — without food, water or rescue for more than a week — are furious at the federal government. FEMA is confiscating donations and blocking local churches and private charities from providing the aid that the government is not.
Meanwhile at FEMA disaster preparedness meetings they focus on how to get relief to those affected in the LGBTQIA+ community. Not kidding. Watch here.
The weather disruption in red states — NC, GA, Tenn — has occasioned much private delight in Democrat circles. Bretibart’s John Nolte suggested that “slow-walking aid to hurricane-ravaged Red America is all upside for Kamala.”
And David Axelrod, one of the maestros of the Obama campaign, recently called Asheville, “a blue dot in that area,” saying they’re “the kind of voters who will figure out a way to vote, you’re know they’re upscale, kind of liberal voters, they’re probably going to figure out a way to vote.” But those folks in the mountains, he said, “I'm not sure a bunch of these folks who've had their homes and lives destroyed elsewhere in western NC are gonna be as easy to wrangle for the Trump campaign.”
So, Democrat elitism reigns again. Their voters are smart, educated, resourceful. MAGA is deplorable. Also clueless. Maybe that’s why FEMA is helping folks in Asheville but blocking those trying to help stranded people in the mountains.
As MiamiJJ48 put it on X, “Lord have mercy. So they’re just going to natural disaster us out of voting?”
But never count Trump out — or his MAGA nation. They spontaneously break into chants of “We Love You,” something I never expect to hear at a Kamala Harris event.
They love him because they know he has taken bullets for them. The Left impeached him twice, persecuted him in vicious and expensive court filings, and tried to keep him off the ballot. He always says the government was coming after them, but he just got in the way. He says he will never stop fighting for them, or America.
And they believe him. Even, maybe especially, in the NC mountains, where Vance’s hillbillies and righteous men live. For four years men have been assailed as toxic, told they were irrelevant to child-bearing, told women could make families without them.
Time for a standing ovation, for Trump and his MAGA army.

Excellent article, Johanna!
I was just listening to Mark Levin. Mark describes the Biden/Harris administration as "evil". The Biden/Harris administration is undermining Israel's fight to maintain their country in a multitude of ways; from not providing munitions support to failing to protect sensitive communications between Israel and the US. Actions that appear to be incompetence are more likely malevolent and stem from the Obama administrations desire to reduce the strength of Israel in the Middle East. I have never been a believer in "con-trail" seeding of clouds to alter weather patterns but given the malevolence and arrogance of the Biden/Harris administration I'm putting nothing past them at this point. Withholding FEMA assistance to control voting patterns seems to fit into the pattern of this administration ! God Bless America and God Bless those affected by Helene!
