Elon Musk, Asperger's & Intolerance
We are all intolerant in our own ways, I suppose, filled with unspoken grievances against colleagues or acquaintances, wishing life smiled more kindly on our causes.
But I’ve been struck lately by how absolute is the intolerance exhibited by Left-wing Radicals, who seek to impose their orthodoxy on the rest of us without regard for our feelings. Or even our consent.
Consider:
Alex Martinez, described as Twitter’s Lead Client Partner, mocked Elon Musk for having Asperger’s. I must admit I had no idea Musk was on the spectrum, and given his remarkable achievements — creator of two companies, Tesla and Space X, that are changing the world and oh, the richest man in the world — perhaps we should all aspire to be more in the moment, less in the noise.
Anyway, Martinez sounded like he was trying to impress a person he was dining with, who turned out to be a reporter for Project Veritas. “Like he's a loony tune, he has Asperger's. So he is special. We all know that. And that is fine. So here, no one is gonna say some f*ck*ng crazy sh*t because he is special,” Martinez exclaimed. “You’re special needs! You’re literally special needs. So I can’t even take what you’re saying seriously.”
BREAKING: @Twitter Lead Client Partner Says Woke “Ideology” Responsible For Company’s Inability to “Profit”; Affirms Twitter Not Here “To Give People Free Speech”; Refuses Taking @elonmusk “Seriously” Due to “Asperger’s” Making Him “Special” #TwitterExposedI can’t decide if it was the arrogance or the mockery that shocked me more. Either way, Elon Musk was far more restrained, a gentleman. “Twitter exec trashing free speech & mocking people with Asperger’s,” is all he tweeted. One can only imagine what he is planning if he does eventually buy Twitter at, likely, a far reduced price, given recent evidence that Biden’s 22.2 million “followers” include almost half his total in fake accounts. Ditto Trump.
Now a SpaceX flight attendant is alleging that Musk exposed himself to her and propositioned her for sex in 2016, offering to buy her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage. He denies the “wild” claim, calling it “utterly untrue,” and more to the point a political hit job, designed to punish him for saying he plans to vote Republican in the coming elections. And probably for saying that Democrats are the now party of “division & hatred.”
In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold … 🍿Interesting — the Far Left welcomes the idea of demonizing all Republicans as white supremacist and racist, calling for Tucker Carlson and Newt Gingrich to be arrested, for telling the truth. But if Musk points out Dems are the party of hatred, they call him “a terrible American.” And let’s be clear — is there any campaign more intolerant than the #MeToo movement? Under their rules, once a man is accused he stands convicted. I wonder about Elongate’s chances.
Three Wisconsin middle school students are facing charges of sexual harassment for using the wrong pronouns when addressing a fellow student. One of them, Braden, told Fox News he worries “a charge like that on my record could shatter my chances at getting into a college when I grow up.” His lawyer, Luke Berg, of Wisconsin' Institute for Law and Liberty, says the charges are a “gross misapplication of Title IX sexual harassment charges.”
Maybe, but I wonder for how long. The Biden administration is rewriting Title IX to redefine “woman” for purposes of discrimination in life or sports as anyone who considers themselves a woman. I welcome transgender people to the fabric of nation, especially those who have pined for so long, but I wonder if most of them are in favor of criminalizing pronouns or killing female sports.
This effort to placate the transgender radicals strikes me as of a piece with the feminist war on women, gay men and lesbian women. Why did Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson decline to answer how she defines a woman? Why did an abortion rights advocate from Texas testify before Congress that biological men can become pregnant and require abortions? You can see the fear — or the deviance — in their eyes. They are afraid of the Left-orthodoxy, of the Planned Parenthood Mafia, which is protecting its lucrative business as the nation’s largest abortion provider and soon, its biggest transgender transitioning service. And Planned Parenthood requires complete compliance, no debate. Anyone who dares to object is intolerantly slammed as transphobic.
And then there’s the racist label, so easily tossed around, so demagogic, and so poisonous to our civic discourse. In a horrific incident of violence this week, an unhinged white man, Payton Gendron, opened fire on black shoppers at a grocery store in Buffalo, killing ten and injuring three others, all but two of them black. President Biden immediately condemned the mass shooter as a racist, federal officials promptly filed hate crime charges, and the Bidens visited Buffalo to grieve with relatives of the innocents taken too soon. And that is as it should be. Mass shootings hurt the hearts of all sentient beings.
Then the president politicized the service of memorial for human beings, blaming right-wing white supremacy, saying it has now become mainstream in the Republican Party, which only a few days earlier he dubbed “Ultra MAGA.”
I wonder if he remembers that last November, an unhinged black man, Darrell Brooks, drove his SUV into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisc., killing six, including an eight-year-old boy. The media — and to this day, Wikipedia, described the attacker as “driver of a sport utility vehicle.” No hate crime charges were ever filed. And President Biden never visited, though his wife did, weeks after the event. In her remarks, Jill Biden mentioned the attack not at all, instead spending her speech reminding parents to get their kids vaccinated.
And I wonder too if Biden remembers the attack in 2017 on Republican lawmakers practicing for the annual baseball game. An unhinged white man, James Hodgkinson, said to be a supporter of Bernie Sanders and member of a FB group called Terminate the Republican Party, brought a list of GOP targets and opened fire. He injured House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, lobbyist Matt Mika and two U.S. Capitol Police officers, Crystal Griner and David Bailey, who returned fire and killed the gunman. Scalise nearly bled to death and required multiple surgeries before returning to Congress.
The FBI’s Andrew McCabe characterized the shooting as “suicide by cop.” Only after pressure from Scalise did the bureau change it to domestic terrorism. But nobody on the Right, as Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) noted this week, “Nobody accused the person who attacked Republican congressman at the baseball game of representing the mainstream of the Democratic Party.”
This is the legacy of name-calling, of mocking one’s political opponents, of outlawing their speech and criminalizing their political behavior. Intolerance begets violence. Stoking racial hatred, inciting violence against Supreme Court justices, labeling protestors as insurrectionists — this is no way to run a republic.
At least not if you want to call it a democracy.
